Indulge in a day of creativity in the picturesque Goldfields town of Maldon. Nestled in the heart of Maldon is a charming barn-style open-plan workshop space that exudes character and rustic charm. Join like minded people in a relaxed atmosphere to create your own botanical illustration in this picturesque setting.
The aim of the day is be in the moment and free your constraints to create a finished botanical illustration. The workshop is suitable to all abilities from total beginners through to competent artists.
I will lead you through drawing warmups and take you step by step instruction on how to use to line shape and negative space to get more out of your drawing and composition.
Once we have the bones of your botanical drawing done I will lead mini workshops in pen and ink and pencil to complete your illustration.
A grazing style morning tea and glass of sparkling wine is provided to enhance the creative culture and indulgence of the day!!
Each participant will also receive a drawing essentials kit which includes fineliner pens, graphite pencils, kneadable eraser as well as a Paula Zetlein book to sketch in.
